Whitney Ross-Barris is a versatile performer who sings an eclectic mix of classic jazz and vintage-sounding originals with a fresh and playful edge.

She is an emerging solo artist on the Toronto Jazz scene and has been a professional actor for more than 13 years. She has acted in more than fifty stage productions with a performance career that has taken her all over Canada, the US and to Europe, from the top of Queen's Park in downtown Toronto to the bottom of the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland.

Behind the Scenes Album Research!

As Whitney draws nearer to the production of her debut album in fall 2012, a little research was in order. With her son, Coen in tow, they attacked the stacks at the Toronto Reference Library for some very interesting scores (music scores, that is...) Very exciting! Coen just loves the smell of books.
